Overgrowth and brush clearing
Grind unwanted brush and small growth in place to open the property back up.

PICKENS COUNTY, GEORGIA
Pickens County's Mountain Protection tree cap counts trees removed by any method, mulching included, inside the protected district.
LOCAL GROUND. A PLAN THAT FITS.
Clearing pulls stumps and roots so the ground is ready to grade and build on. Forestry mulching grinds brush and small trees into the dirt and leaves the root system in place, so the ground stays intact in the way the county's land disturbance permit is built to catch.
If the goal is opening up overgrown ground while keeping it wooded, mulching gets there for less. If a pad or driveway is coming later, clearing is the right call, since stumps left behind slow the grading crew down.

BUILT AROUND YOUR PROPERTY
Grind unwanted brush and small growth in place to open the property back up.
Reduce overgrowth and recover usable space while leaving roots in the ground.
Open brush-covered boundaries and fence rows within the agreed limits of work.
Reduce brush along a planned break while retaining the trees selected to stay.
BUILT AROUND THE CONDITIONS
Inside Pickens County's Mountain Protection district, above 2,200 feet on a 25 percent or greater slope, an approved reforestation plan becomes required once more than half the trees eight inches or larger in diameter come down. That cap counts trees removed by any method, mulching included, alongside trees felled and hauled off.
A mulching job that grinds through more than half the qualifying trees on protected mountain ground can trip the same cap a clearing job would. We count before the equipment starts on anything inside the district.

PLAN THE WORK BEFORE IT STARTS
When a job is harvesting merchantable timber rather than grinding brush and smaller trees, Georgia requires its own Notice of Timber Harvesting Activity through the Georgia Forestry Commission, separate from a county land disturbance permit. Pickens County's own form exists specifically to route that state paperwork.
Forestry mulching aimed at overgrowth and brush falls outside that requirement, but we flag the distinction clearly when a property has standing merchantable timber mixed in with what needs mulching.

PLAN THE WHOLE JOB
$2,500 / acre minimum
We charge a $2,500 per acre minimum, and larger acreage prices down from there once we've walked the ground and seen what's standing on it. Steep terrain can add time on the mountain lots common here.
