Excavator digging and shaping a broad earthwork cut

SITEWORK ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA

GRADING
& EXCAVATION.NORTH GEORGIA.

GPS grade control on every machine, so there's no guesswork in what we cut.

GPS GUIDED SITEWORK

PRECISE CUTS.
A CLEAR PLAN.

Every machine we run has GPS or 3D grade control built into the cab. We build a model off your site's control points and cut to it, instead of relying on visual estimates alone.

We take on real grading and excavation work, from basement digs to multi-acre commercial cut and fill. We're upfront that we don't chase small jobs like leveling a backyard, because it isn't worth mobilizing a crew and machine for.

A COMPLETE START

WHAT OUR EXCAVATION CONTRACTOR COVERS

Pad and site grading

Cut and fill to the elevations on your plan, built for building pads and large commercial sites alike.

Basement and foundation digs

Full basement excavation, dug and finished for the foundation crew behind us.

Driveway and road cuts

Mountain-grade cuts for new driveways and access roads, including deep cuts on steep terrain.

Drainage grading

Elevation and slope work that moves water where it needs to go, not where it collects.

TECHNOLOGY ON THE GROUND

PRECISION THAT
MOVES THE JOB FORWARD.

GPS grade control isn't common on jobs our size. Here's what that changes.

Fewer surveyor visits

You set a few control points, we build a GPS file off them, and the surveyor isn't needed again until final topo. That saves real money on surveying.

Precision when it matters most

On municipal or precision-critical sites, we hold tolerances within a couple millimeters instead of the usual plus-or-minus tenth of a foot.

A real example

In Blairsville, we cut a 30 to 40 foot driveway entrance into a mountainside, moving about 9,000 cubic yards of dirt with 7 to 8 machines on site, then paved it.

ONE CREW. A CLEAR SEQUENCE.

HOW A GRADING AND EXCAVATION JOB RUNS

STEP 01

Walk the site

We look at the grade, the cut, and what the finished site needs to do with water.

STEP 02

Build the GPS model

We set control points and build a 3D file for the equipment to cut to.

STEP 03

Quote the work

A written scope covering the cut, fill, and what drives the price on your specific site.

STEP 04

Cut and compact

Mass production cutting with the right equipment, compacted in lifts.

STEP 05

Final grade and walk

We finish the grade to your elevations and walk it with you.

GRADING AND EXCAVATION QUESTIONS WE GET

Start with the property and what you want to do. We'll help you work through the details.

ASK ABOUT YOUR PROJECT

Clearing removes trees, brush and stumps. Grading reshapes the dirt itself, cutting and filling to set elevations and control drainage. Most projects need both, but they're priced and scheduled separately.

Basement digs typically run $15,000 to $20,000, depending on size and access.

Generally no. Mobilizing a tractor and crew for a small job like leveling a backyard doesn't make financial sense for us, so we steer those jobs elsewhere. We do take on larger residential grading, like driveway cuts and pad prep.

It varies too much to quote a flat rate. Two similarly sized commercial sites can have completely different cut and fill volumes, so commercial grading is priced after we see the plans.

It's 3D grading technology built into our equipment that cuts to a digital model instead of relying on guesswork. It means fewer surveyor visits, tighter tolerances, and faster, more accurate cuts.

Yes, shaping elevation and slope so water moves off the site instead of collecting where it shouldn't.
